Speak in Tones's “Subaro” in Salvador (Brazil) was produced  by the saxophonist Mike Ellis (AlphaPocket) and the percussionist Daniel Moreno (Marnico Music). Some of the artists on this “multi-culti” recording include: Malian keyboardist/singer Cheick Tidiane Seck, Brazilian percussionist Bira Reis, New York based bassist Reggie Washington as well as many members of the Speak in Tones concert series.

The Speak in Tones Jam Session/ Concert Series, was produced by Daniel Moreno, Mike Aliis and soundman Sharif  from 2002-2004  every Thursday nights  at 56 Walker St, NYC.

 ABOUT CHEICK TIDIANE SECKCheick Tidiane Seck (born December 11, 1953) is a Malian musician, arranger and composer. He has written for and played with world-famous African (Fela Kuti, Mory Kanté, Salif Keita, Youssou N'Dour) and jazz (Hank Jones, Dee Dee Bridgewater) bands.
